A. The Progressive Internet Radio Network is a growing collection of progressive and news-worthy content from a variety of sources not found in the mainstream USA media. Our Online Magazines provide a rotating mix of worldwide news, expert opinions, eye-opening reports, new & classic music and special guest hosts streaming online in topical progressive channels. The goal is to enable a global resource of news and expert opinion to attract, educate and enable listeners to broaden their “one world” perspective and contribute to challenging the status quo.

A: The Progressive Internet Radio Network team operates in Nevada, Oregon & Southern California…we stream online worldwide 24x7.
Q: Do you accept Advertisers?
A: We are a for-profit operation and have multiple revenue streams. We reserve a portion of our company profits for local and global charity efforts.

Q: Why the Progressive Internet Radio Network?
A: finally….Why…?
First, lets note:
Webster’s Online Definition for Progressive:
Verb: Favoring or promoting reform,often by citizens demanding government action.
Noun: A person who favors a political philosophy of progress, reform and the protection of civil liberties
Next, Lets recap recent status of the USA:
We have tripled the U.S. national debt to $9 trillion in the last eight years. Over 66% of that debt is held by foreign governments.
Our U.S.Federal budget deficits are now over $400 billion a year…and this is not including “supplemental items” including the endless wars in Iraq & Afghanistan, costing $3 billion every week…week after week, month after month…amd that dopes not count the long term costs to rebuild the army stock and cover health expense for the wounded.
The US dollar has plunged in international value…meanwhile our Federal Reserve explodes its distribution of newly printed paper money pumped into circulation to cover the growing credit crisis…and now the Fed is lending cash directly to big Wall Street firms…for the first time since the great depression…at desperate “non-recourse” terms.
Continued realties of $4.00 a gallon gasoline…meanwhile, insane all-time record oil company profits, quarter after quarter, year after year.
A Department of Defense budget which consumes 40 cents of every tax dollar..now over $600 billion per year with built-in annual increases with near zero public oversight…meanwhile, our Federal and Regional Infrastructure suffers — our electrical grid, roads and water systems are all crumbling from long term neglect and deferred maintenance.
We pay 280 Billion dollars A YEAR in INTEREST ONLY on weapons programs that are not used or needed in todays world.
A Massively Corrupt U.S. Foreign Policy that produced the Iraq and Afghanistan wars for no reason and plans for new permanent military bases throughout the Middle East and Africa…while ignoring the direct and indirect Human Costs of our careless occupations. We have now lost over 4,000 of our fellow citizens over a worthless war, with tens of thousands wounded for life. And published reports count over 1 million dead Iraqi citizens…all for what?
A culture in Washington DC that permits and encourages illegal wiretapping,illegal offshore prisons & unlawful torture in denial of basic civil liberties…
Look, its simple: Proceeding with the Status Quo Budget & Policies will not work, and some frank “guns vs. butter” debate is mandatory to identify our priorities and realities.
There is one set of facts and two things are clear:
1. the country’s credit card bill is overdue…
and…
2. the current status quo is NOT SUSTAINABLE and must be changed.
(…it’s getting ugly out there…)
now ask….
Why Not contribute to a realistic “one world” perspective, thru education and awareness, to enable “radical” progressive solutions to help us collectively change the status quo and get out of this mess?
